SMALL EYES

To create a longer, larger looking eye, liquid liner and faux lashes are key makeup items to have in your makeup kit.

Draw a line from the center of the upper lash line to the outer rim.
Build and thicken up the outer corner and extend the line out towards your orbital bone in a straight line. Don’t be tempted to wing the line upwards, the perfect line for your eye shape will be created by tilting your head back and drawing the line straight outwards. When you look back in the mirror the line will be sitting in the perfect place.

Apply faux strip eyelashes along the lash line – flared lashes open and extend the eye in the most flattering way.

Miss Eyelash – Makeup Makeover

There’s a lot more involved in a Miss Eyelash Makeover than meets the eye.

Firstly the clients requirements must be taken into consideration – fashion styling, occasion appropriate, photo opportunities, maintainance, season, clients personal makeup style.

One of our beautiful makeup and eyelash extension clients recently had an occasion to attend that required a polished, fashion forward and long lasting makeover.

After seeing or discussing the outfit my client is planning to wear, I create an inspiration board of different looks to suit – taking into account her personal style, skin tone, hair colour and give her a few options to choose from.

On the day of the function, after a warm Miss Eyelash welcome, the client sinks into the decadent surroundings and prepares to be transformed. We start by prepping the skin and lashes, then eye-makeup, base, contouring, brows then lips.

Only makeup touch-ups required throughout the function tend to be reapplying lip colour and dusting powder through the t-zone to eliminate shine.

So you can relax, sip your champagne and enjoy the occasion looking your most glamorous self!

Get the Look at Miss Eyelash – Liquid Eyeliner

Liquid liner ‘how to’ made easy.

Stand nice and close to the mirror and tilt your head back, this will open up the mobile lid.
Use a liquid liner with a felt tip such as Eye of Horus or GC ILine Black (Brush applicators can make it harder to control the right amount of product)
Apply liquid liner from the inner eye to the outer in a straight line as close to the lashline as possible- imagine you are dotting in between the lashes at the base of the lash line.
Applying in a straight line from inner eye to outer lash line will ensure you create the right amount of ‘flick’ for your eye shape. For a more dramatic look, extend the flick past the eye crease which will also elongate the eye.
Join the outer top end of the flick to the lash line and fill in the gap between.
Finish with lashings of EOH natural mascara and your choice of lip colour – Miss Eyelash loves GC Pink Flip
This look also suits a feminine touch of creme blush on the apples of the cheeks – Miss Eyelash recommends GC in Strawberries and Creme
